STORY BEHIND THE ARTWORK
Working from a photograph Susannah took at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. Her tonal pencil drawing was digitally printed onto cotton/silk fabric. Using a combination of silky, matt and metallic fine machine embroidery threads, she has hand-stitched colourful detail and texture.
This artwork has been selected for Orleans House Gallery's Winter Open Exhibition, running from 2nd December 2023 - 27th January 2024.
